At the age of 12 Imran Zaman is currently our youngest member to achieve this coveted grade which is a testament to his hard work and devotion throughout his training. here for Hendon, Finchley and Edgware Times article On Saturday, 15th March 2008 the K2 Leisure Centre, Crawley, hosted the 2008 English Open ITF Taekwon-Do Championships. The United Kingdom Taekwon-Do Dojangs (UKTD) achieved brilliant results winning 8 medals from this years highly competitive event. Our medal tally includes our youngest competitor at this years event, Dunia Mangal who won Gold in her sparring division at the age of 7! After her win Dunia said, “ I enjoy every minute of my Taekwon-Do training. Taekwon-Do gives me self-confidence which helped me to win gold! I look forward to more competitions and I am encouraging my friends at my school to come and train with me.” ››
Dunia Mangal – Gold We congratulate Dunia and all her fellow medallists from the UKTD on their dazzling achievement and look forward to building on this years success at future championships. We would also like to wish Imran Zaman the best of luck with his forthcoming examination (grading) for the coveted Black Belt in April. Imran, who will be 13 in November this year, has been training with the UKTD for 5 years and if successful in his grading would be the youngest Black Belt member in our group to achieve this status. On behalf of all the UKTD Instructors, students and parents wish Imran the best of luck. |
